VIGNOR

“VIsually Guided NeurOmuscular Rehabilitation” (VIGNOR) is a project aimed at developing a multidimensional approach and system, for the rehabilitation of walking. The concept is based on the notion that gait disturbances after brain damage are multifaceted. While this concept is not new, common rehabilitation programs ignore some of the facts pertinent to successful rehabilitation—specifically,  visual information, as a key component in guiding locomotion, and its complex relations with walking stability, somatosensory information, and cognition.
